Pet Surgical Procedures

Surgical Procedures - Cat (Facebook)

The Wailuku Pet Clinic takes great pride in the advancements that have been made in our clinic over the last 3 years.

Our redesigned surgical room offers state of the art monitoring equipment to insure the safety and comfort of your beloved companion during anesthetic procedures. In addition to electronic equipment our specially trained nurses are personally monitoring our anesthetized patients the old fashioned way too by way of stethoscope and mucous membrane capillary refill time. Our new gas anesthesia machine delivers the optimal mix of oxygen and gas anesthesia for each patient.

Some examples of the procedures we offer are:

  • Routine dental cleanings/oral surgery
  • Soft tissue procedures
  • Orthopedic repairs
  • Ear crop
  • Complicated or routine mass removals
  • Eye surgery
  • Exploratory surgery
  • Iv catheter placement and fluid therapy to insure a steady blood pressure and protect against dehydration.
  • Pre-anesthetic blood work for doctors to evaluate the patients internal well being, pediatric, geriatric and all ages in between.
  • Personalized and machine monitoring.
  • Pre and post pain management therapy.
  • Antibiotics on board BEFORE procedures on every patient and post antibiotics when necessary.

Every patient is kept comfortable and calm by professionally trained, caring staff and doctors. You can feel confident that your favorite companion will be treated in a clean, safe and loving environment just as if they were our ohana.

Preventive medicine for your dogs and cats include annual vaccinations, heartworm prevention and monthly flea and tick control. A good physical exam is the best preventive medicine for our patients. An exam can detect masses, heart murmurs, dental disease or skin problems that, with preventive care, can keep your family pet living longer.
