Imagine what your mouth would feel like if you never brushed your teeth or went to the dentist. For many dogs and cats, it is a painful reality!
Annual dental cleanings are highly recommended to remove any built-up plaque and tartar from the teeth. Dental (or periodontal) disease is the most frequent diagnosed health problem in pets and if left unchecked, it can affect other organs in the body. Bacteria and food debris can accumulate around the teeth and cause not only tooth loss and deterioration of the gums, but the bacteria can enter the blood stream and result in significant organ damage.
Our dental cleanings are thoroughly performed and include ultrasonic scaling and polishing of teeth. Cleanings are done while your pet is safely monitored under general anesthesia. Extractions can also be performed as necessary for your pet’s optimal health.
Every pet is different in terms of how often they need routine dental cleanings. Our recommendations are personalized to fit what you feel is best for your pet.
